“I could listen to the album everyday for the rest of my life” (Madlib)

Recorded in Rio De Janeiro in 1972, self taught Arthur Verocai‘s self titled debut LP is a digger’s classic. A unique blend of Brazilian sounds and experimentation, it effortlessly blends genres from Bossa and Jazz to Psychedelia and Funk. Having been sampled by the likes of Common, MF Doom, Action Bronson and Little Brother among many others, it’s little wonder that copies of the original 1972 LP fetch prices of up to $2,000.

Thanks to the good folks at Mr Bongo however, you can own a copy without having to re-mortgage your house. Their beautifully executed vinyl re-issue comes in a replica gatefold sleeve and boasts audio remastered from the original Continental master tapes, overseen by Arthur himself.
